When Lilly Pulitzer & her husband Peter escaped the hustle & bustle of New York City for the sun & sand of Palm Beach, she couldn’t help but ask herself, “What’s a girl to do?” With Peter running the family orange groves, it only seemed natural for her to start a juice stand.
And that’s exactly what Lilly did back in 1959; however, her new business venture would soon give here a closet full of juice-stained clothes. Inspired by the colorful nature of her newly dyed wardrobe, she would soon lay the groundwork for her next business venture by launching a line of brightly colored shift dresses covered in playful & stylish prints. It didn’t take long before her dresses became the dresses to wear in all of the country’s most fashionable resort towns; soon ’60s style icons such as Jackie Kennedy would also be wearing Lilly’s designs as well.
Over 50 years later, Lilly Pulitzer prints are still a favorite for women who love to lead classy, fabulous & colorful lives like none other. If that’s not enough good news, Lilly Pulitzer is now shining & sparkling its true & dazzling colors for sororities/women’s fraternities!!
For events like Bid Day, Formal Recruitment, Initiation or even Formals, Lilly Pulitzer’s white dresses are undeniably amazing. But when it comes to all things Greek, Lilly Pulitzer doesn’t stop there: Whether it’s for Formal Recruitment events or simply showing our Sorority/Fraternity spirit with pride, Lilly Pulitzer signature prints are definitely a sight to see on campus!! Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Zeta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma & Kappa Delta have some beautiful & amazing special collection Lilly prints. (In addition, Lilly holds contests on her Facebook page to see which sororities/women’s fraternities will get their own prints.
