Sigma Delta Tau: Ten Reasons Why I Love SDT

(This beautiful & heartfelt post’s for SDT undergraduates & alumnae alike.)

Here are ten reasons why I love Sigma Delta Tau as much as I do – & ten reasons why I can confidently say that I’m a proud supporter & advocate of Panhellenic life:

SDTs are empowered women who inspire & encourage one another to become the best that they can possibly be.

Sigma Delta Tau is a far cry from “average”/”ordinary”:  Even today, Sigma Delta Tau continues to set high standards & expectations in academics, philanthropy, service, as well as how SDT leads the way on campus & in the real world.

SDTs prove that sisterhood & friendship aren’t for college days alone – both of the above are for a lifetime!!

SDTs are strong, talented, intelligent, independent & empowered women who make a positive difference for their colleges/universities & the communities where they live.  Whether it’s through their efforts in academics, through their efforts as chapter officers, through their efforts in philanthropy, through their efforts in volunteering or through their efforts in other campus organizations, women in Sigma Delta Tau are truly making an impact where it matters most!!

SDTs keep setting the bar higher in all that they do, whether it’s on campus or in their local communities; even now, Sigma Delta Tau keeps going above & beyond the expectations of others.

Women in Sigma Delta Tau are about bringing change for the better through philanthropy.  Whether it’s through fundraising events, community service projects or educational awareness programming, SDTs donate their time, talents & resources to support the Sorority’s National Philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America or local child abuse agencies. (Also, SDTs support Jewish Women International & Women for Women International.)

SDTs take academic excellence to heart & that steadfast commitment to excellence in scholarship shows in the efforts/accomplishments of its undergraduate chapters.

SDTs truly shine brightly whether it’s through their efforts in the classroom, through their efforts in other campus organizations, through their efforts as volunteers, through their efforts as chapter advisors & through their efforts in the Greek communities which they represent.

Women in SDT are classy, sweet, fun, amazing, caring, kind…Simply said, they’re all of the above!!

Last but not least, Sigma Delta Tau is about empowering women!!
