Chi Omega: Not Just For College Days Alone

(This post’s a shoutout to those Chi Os who just graduated; in addition, it’s a shoutout to other Chi Omega undergraduates & alumnae.)

Chi Omega is an experience unlike any other, one of the best things that could ever happen to any woman who chooses to go Greek.  Chi O is where women can make a difference; at the same time, Chi Omega makes a difference for its undergraduate & alumnae members.  Chi Omega goes to show that friendship & sisterhood are for a lifetime.  Last but not least, Chi O is an experience that isn’t just for college days alone.

I said it once but I’ll say it again:  Chi O is an experience that isn’t just for college days alone.  Whether it’s joining an alumnae chapter, volunteering for the Fraternity in various ways (e.g. as a chapter advisor, writing RIFS for women going through Recruitment, among other things), or giving to the Chi Omega Foundation, Chi O is an experience that can’t be limited to a few years of college.  It’s the experience of a lifetime!!

Chi Omega is a reminder that sisterhood & friendship don’t come to a sudden stop after graduation.  Both of the above keep going strong well after we receive our diplomas & take our first steps into the real world.

Chi Omega isn’t about “arrival.”  Nor is Chi O a destination.  Chi Omega is a lifetime journey!!  By staying involved in our alumnae chapters, recommending young women for membership into Chi O & even beginning new alumnae chapters, we’re not only staying connected with Chi Omega.  We’re also making a heartfelt difference for a women’s Fraternity which has made/continues to make a difference in our lives, even now.

Chi Omega isn’t just for college days alone.  Chi Omega’s for a lifetime.

No matter how we stay involved with the Fraternity after graduation, we can be certain of one thing:  Chi Omega is an experience that keeps on going strong, even after we graduate!!

Delta Zeta: Not Just For College Days Alone

(This post is a shoutout to those Delta Zetas who just graduated; in addition, it’s a shoutout to other Delta Zeta undergraduates & alumnae.)

Delta Zeta is an experience unlike any other, one of the best things that could happen to any woman who chooses to go Greek.  Delta Zeta is an enriching Sorority; at the same time, DZ continues to enrich the lives of its undergraduate & alumnae members.  Delta Zeta goes to show that friendship & sisterhood are for a lifetime.  And last but not least, Delta Zeta is an experience that isn’t just for college days alone.

I said it once but I’ll say it again:  Delta Zeta is an experience that isn’t just for college days alone.  Whether it’s joining an alumnae chapter, staying involved with your chapter association, volunteering for the Sorority in various ways (as chapter advisors, College Chapter Directors, among other things), Delta Zeta is an experience that can’t be limited to a few years of college.  It’s the experience of a lifetime!!

Delta Zeta is a reminder that sisterhood & friendship don’t come to a sudden stop after graduation.  Both of the above keep going strong well after we receive our diplomas & take our first steps into the real world.

Delta Zeta isn’t about “arrival.”  Nor is DZ a destination.  Delta Zeta is a lifetime journey!!  By getting involved in our Alumnae Areas, alumnae chapters & chapter associations (as well as recommending young women for membership into Delta Zeta), we’re not only staying connected with DZ.  We’re also enriching the Sorority which has enriched/still continues to enrich our lives in more ways than one.

Delta Zeta isn’t just for college days alone.  Delta Zeta’s for a lifetime.

No matter how we stay involved with the Sorority after graduation, we can be certain of one thing:  Delta Zeta is an experience that keeps on going strong, even after we graduate!!

Alpha Sigma Tau: Top Ten Things To Remember While Preparing For Sorority Recruitment

Formal Recruitment may be about a few months away, but here are some things that every undergraduate member of Alpha Sigma Tau should remember as you begin planning, preparing & practicing for your Formal Recruitment events & activities:

1.  Recruitment isn’t something that we do just once a year or when we “feel like it.”  It’s something that we should do all year long.

2.  Recruitment’s all about quality, not quantity.  It’s not a matter of how many new members we ended up getting on Bid Day.  It is a matter of who we’re selecting for chapter membership as much as it is a matter of how & why we’re selecting these women for Alpha Sigma Tau.

3.  It’s never too early to plan, prepare & practice for Sorority Recruitment.

4.  A more-than-amazing/successful/truly memorable Formal Recruitment is something that we can’t plan for in just one/two weeks.  It takes months of planning (preferably anywhere from a few to several months).

5.  The women we’re going to select for chapter membership are going to determine which direction our chapters will take in the future (for better or for worse).  So think of not only who we want to join Alpha Sigma Tau; also think about why these women would be perfect candidates for chapter membership & how we’re selecting these amazing ladies (on Founders-tested, Founders-approved criteria).

6.  Summer Break may seem like a great time to relax/take a breather.  But when it comes to anything pertaining to Formal Recruitment, we should spend our summer coming up with amazing, creative & workable Recruitment ideas/suggestions!!

7.  First impressions are always lasting ones & even more so during Formal Recruitment.  Whether we’re doing Recruitment skits, Recruitment presentations or chapter recruitment videos, don’t forget to show the potential new members who will be visiting our houses/suites why our chapters stand out like they do in such areas as academics, philanthropy, service & leadership development.

8.  Simply planning & preparing for Sorority Recruitment is harder than it looks.  Honestly, it’s time-consuming, exhausting & stressful; if we’re not even prepared, things can be far worse.  So be ready to go well before Formal Recruitment even begins!!

9.  It’s not about what songs we’re going to sing to the PNMs during our Recruitment Week events.  Likewise, it’s not about what songs we’re going to use for our Recruitment skits/videos.  It’s all about getting the right message about Alpha Sigma Tau across to the potential new members:  not just talking about friendship & sisterhood, but also getting to the heart of who Alpha Sigma Tau is, what Alpha Sigma Tau does & what Alpha Sigma Tau is all about.

10.  Last but not least, Formal Recruitment is an opportunity for us to show the potential new members how much we love Alpha Sigma Tau & how Alpha Sigma Tau shaped us into the women we are today!!
