about me…

Here’s some info about yours truly:

I’m Chad.  I’m a Ball State alumnus, truly proud to be a Sigma Chi & a strong supporter of Greek life.  My favorite interests are:  going out for walks, listening to lots of music, the Chicago Cubs, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers & last but not least, continuing to support the Greek community back @ BSU!!

When I first began of love & roses back in April 2009, my aims were fourfold – & even today, they continue to be:

First of all, I wanted to show my love, pride & support for sororities/women’s fraternities as well as praise their various accomplishments over time.  (As a proud supporter of Ball State’s Panhellenic community – among others – & a proud advocate of Panhellenism, this aim has always been first & foremost for me.)

Second, I wanted to provide readers with informative, insightful & heartfelt articles about all things pertaining to recruitment.

Third, I wanted to praise various aspects of Greek life in general (whether it be philanthropies, philanthropic events, stories about various Foundations, among other things).

Last but not least, I wanted to present articles about Greek life with an open-minded approach, which Greeks & non-Greeks can identify with/relate to.

To make a long story short, these posts are a heartfelt & amazing celebration of Greek life!!

Time & again throughout my posts, I have repeatedly made it a point to keep it real, keep it humble, keep it straightforward, keep things insightful.  And these discrete posts – all heartfelt, all honest & to the point – are the end result.   Written with passion, with conviction, with genuine enthusiasm, with heartfelt commitment, with the utmost appreciation toward both Greeks & non-Greeks, they speak volumes of my love for fraternities & sororities – always have & always will.

In addition, all of the posts on of love & roses are written from my point of view/opinion; they don’t necessarily reflect the viewpoints/opinions of other organizations.

  2. I have to say I am very happy I found this blog. I am the current VP of Public Relations and External Affairs for our campuses IFC. However, where we managed to make my spot an internship as well I will be assisting with a lot of the PR for our sororities as well. Love the blog Chad!!!
