of love & roses: Life On Instagram

In my previous post, I spilled the beans about being on Instagram when I haven’t been able to blog on this site.  And so far, life on Instagram has been pretty amazing, to be honest with you.

Since I got my own IG up & running back in April, my love for being creative – as well as my love for creating awesome sorority/fraternity-related photography – has grown exponentially (well over 1,000 pics posted at this point in time).  And that love for creativity (along with those random road trips which continue to spark my creative fire) hasn’t diminished, as much of my photography on IG will confirm.  (Here & there, I’ve also posted fall-flavored & scenic pics, among other things!!)

Some of my photography which I’ve uploaded on Instagram dates back as late as the spring of 2010 (!!); that’s when my love for capturing sorority/fraternity-related pics really began to take off.  At the time, I was really hit and miss on getting outstanding images; in addition, I didn’t have a cell phone which I could take pictures on so there’s that (until over three years ago, I stuck to using a disposable camera).  But the more that I began improving on my photographic fundamentals, the better my pics would become.  Then three years ago, I bought a cell phone which I could take pictures on & the rest is history.

Here are just a few reasons why I love using Instagram as much as I do:

1. I love/enjoy capturing photography pertaining to sororities/fraternities & IG is one great vehicle/creative outlet for me to continue that passion.
2. I just can’t hide my Panhellenic love & pride 🙂 (obviously)
3. Instagram is a perfect way to show my love & appreciation for sorority women (& fraternity men), no matter which letters they wear.
4. I love capturing things in the moment & Instagram is an awesome site to keep that tradition going strong.
5. Last but not least, Instagram is another place where I can express myself sincerely if I’m not blogging elsewhere!!

of love & roses: Just a brief update…

It seems like an eternity since I last posted anything on my blog.  You could even say that I’ve been on hiatus (which in a sense I was).  But just to keep everyone updated, I’ve had plenty of work (among other important priorities) on my plate over the past month or so.  Not to make any excuses at all – yours truly is completely honest – but my work commitments have kept me in check as far as blogging goes.  And yet here’s some encouraging news to report:

During my downtime when I haven’t been able to blog, I’ve been uploading plenty of beautiful photographs on Instagram.  So for all you sorority women who love awesome photography (especially if it’s sorority/fraternity-related) make sure to check out my IG  (My Instagram username is cmkelham :-))

I’m definitely aiming to return to posting on this site very, very soon.  But in the meantime, I just wanted to send a short but sweet update your way.  Until then, wishing one & all an awesome week!!
