Informal Recruitment: What Better Time Than Now

It’s that time of year again for who knows how many chapters are having informal recruitment.  And what better time than now to give Greek life a go for those women who wanted to join a sorority/fraternity last semester (but didn’t, couldn’t or had second thoughts).

Informal/open recruitment events may not get all of the accolades & praise like their formal counterparts do, but here’s the thing:  They’re still a perfect opportunity to show the potential new members not only what Greek life has to offer but also give the PNMs a fun & colorful look at our chapters (without forgetting who we are & what we do on campus).

At the same time, informal recruitment – besides being a great option for women who want to go Greek – is a chance for us to make up for the things we should’ve said & done during Formal Recruitment (but didn’t).  By hosting dinners, going bowling, or simply hanging out (among other cool & amazing activities), our chapters not only want to get to know the PNMs – these events are also a perfect opportunity for the PNMs to be themselves & get to know the women in the chapter!!  In addition, it’s a chance to have fun while still setting the right standards & expectations about our sororities/fraternities.

For women who wanted to go Greek in the fall but decided to put Formal Recruitment on hold until now, what better way to make up for lost time by checking out Informal Recruitment events!!
