Delta Zeta: The Starkey/Build-A-Bear Project

Delta Zeta has always believed in making a difference for the better & enriching the lives of others through service & philanthropy.  At the same time, service to others is an enriching experience for the Sorority’s undergraduate & alumnae members as much as it is enriching to those lives whom they touch in the slightest measure.

What better way to do both of the above than through a Starkey/Build-A-Bear Project!!

DZ is a proud & strong supporter of the Starkey Hearing Foundation, a non-profit organization which is continuing to transform the lives of those who cannot hear/are hard of hearing.  Also, the SHF is changing the social consciousness of hearing & hearing matters through awareness, education & research.  (Even now, the Starkey Hearing Foundation is bringing hope by providing the gift of hearing to those in need worldwide.) 

A Starkey/Build-A-Bear Project is a great way for Delta Zeta’s collegiate & alumnae members to get together & make a lasting impact for the better.  In addition, it’s an opportunity to show others – both Greek & non-Greek – just one of many ways in which the Sorority continues to enrich communities & the world!!  By donating bears to the SHF (with hearing aid attachments from Build-A-Bear), Delta Zetas are doing their part to give hope & inspiration to those who cannot hear/have hearing impairments.

Enriching the world. Enriching communities.  Enriching the lives of those whom we touch, even in the slightest measure.  Through a Starkey/Build-A-Bear Project, Delta Zeta’s undergraduate & alumnae members have the chance of a lifetime to do all of the above & much more – not just to show how committed the Sorority is & always will be when it comes to service & philanthropy, but also to show how the SHF & Delta Zeta are bringing life-changing hope to those who cannot hear!!

Delta Zeta: Striving For Academic Excellence

When it comes to academics, Delta Zeta has always raised the bar high:  it shows in the efforts of the Sorority’s undergraduate & post-graduate members as they strive to maintain high standards & expectations in academic excellence!!  In addition, DZ stresses good scholarship according to the abilities of its collegian members & does its part to help these amazing women reach their highest potential from an academic standpoint.

For Delta Zeta, the best possible education is so much more than just getting good grades. It’s also about excellence & a sound mindset towards learning.  Delta Zeta not only places a strong emphasis on scholarship but also has resources around so that the Sorority’s undergraduate & post-graduate members can uphold consistency in keeping their grades up (& better yet, raising the bar higher each semester when it comes to doing awesome academically).

Whether at small schools or at large universities, DeeZees always strive for academic excellence.  And when DZ is at/near the top of its class on campus year in & year out – not to forget when Delta Zeta also performs well above the all-women’s & all-Greeks’ GPAs – that’s truly saying something!!  Truly, academics is one more heartfelt & positive way in which Delta Zetas enrich their campuses & communities – & one more reason why DZ is among the best of the best around at some colleges/universities!!
