Delta Gamma: What Doing Good Is All About

When Delta Gamma’s Founders created a small club for mutual helpfulness almost 140 years ago, these amazing ladies understood the important notion of friendship & all that it stood for.  Moreover, friendship & doing good were the cornerstone of the Fraternity’s founding; even today, these things remain a great source of pride for Delta Gamma as much as they tell others who DG is, what DG does & what the Fraternity is all about!!

Since 1873, Delta Gamma’s Oath of Friendship has remained unaltered.  Delta Gamma’s open  motto (“Do Good”) continues to endure; its meaning & significance have lost none of its staying power & relevance.  If that’s not enough, these very words continue to encourage DeeGees to show how their actions impact the good of others.

For Delta Gamma, doing good is also about upholding the Fraternity’s high values, standards & expectations.  It’s about demonstrating high ideals of friendship.  It’s raising the bar high in both the great & little things that DeeGees do on campus & in their communities.  It’s truly living the Fraternity’s open motto on a daily basis!!

Along with friendship, doing good is & always been at the heart of defining who Delta Gamma is; also, it’s one of the reasons why DG is such an amazing women’s Fraternity today!!

Alpha Chi Omega: A Shared Commitment

Ever since Alpha Chi Omega’s inception, its members have accepted whatever challenges have came the Fraternity’s way.  At the same time, AXO continues to offer its undergraduate & alumnae members with an experience that respects & responds to the hopes, dreams, fears & realities of women today, in the here & now.

Speaking of being real:  AXO is & has always been an organization of real women facing real issues in the real world.  On one hand, Alpha Chis are inspiring; on the other, Alpha Chis are being inspired.  Likewise, Alpha Chis are transforming & in turn, they too are being transformed.  Together, these amazing ladies are creating a more positive reality for themselves & the lives of others around them.

When it comes to being an organization of strong women, AXO truly shines brightly.  Alpha Chis are strong in the courage of their convictions, strong in the confidence of their actions & strong in the purpose in their hearts.

Even today, Alpha Chi Omega is providing women with an experience of sisterhood which is not just real & strong but also respectful, authentic, open, empathetic & honest.  Also, AXO is continuing to define how a sorority should grow & be defined today & in the future.

For AXO, that’s what being real & strong women is all about & has always been!!
